My Client are looking for a Production Engineer (CAD) to join their team!

Main Purpose of the Job: To produce technical documentation, including product assembly drawings, diagrams, mechanical design drawings and Bill of Materials to the required standards and accuracy. Additionally planning of product test strategies, design, and build of test equipment.

Main Responsibilities/Outputs of Job:

 Producing technical documentation, including product assembly drawings, diagrams, mechanical design drawings and Bill of Materials and controlling that documentation in a document management system.

 To produce CAD drawings as required for various technical and production documents in an agreed format and timeframe.

 Guide specific products through the NPI process ensuring that key targets are met and issues are quickly and clearly fed back to the design team.

 Supporting and maintaining the Material Requirements Planning System (MRP) and Dynamics Business Central

 To develop and maintain an effective relationship with the Operations Management Team.

 Planning of product test strategies and design and build of test equipment

 Formulating Production process controls and procedures.

 Providing technical support to other stakeholders both within and external to the business.

 Provision of engineering support by creating and maintaining technical documentation for internal and external use, supplemented by occasional, high level, manual technical tasks

 To ensure that the Company Health & Safety policy is adhered to, including but not limited to ensuring the use of safety glasses, cut proof gloves and the correct tools and equipment.

 Reviewing current products with a view to cost saving measures, which could be taken, or design / manufacturing efficiency improvements.

 Experience in using modern, Mechanical CAD software (E.g., Solid Edge or SolidWorks)

 Electronics technician skills including fault finding to component level, instrument usage, soldering skills and prototyping

 Good basic understanding of electronics engineering and engineering concepts (e.g. design, test, materials and manufacturing technology)

General: Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require, including but not limited to temporarily moving departments or location, assisting other departments or travelling to customers and/or suppliers.

Monday – Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm (1 hour for lunch
